  • Production area:  South West Sicily; vineyards between Marsala and Salemi
  • Terroir: Altitude 200 m above sea level; predominantly clayey soil; Climate characterized by mild winters, hot summers but relieved all year round by a refreshing sea breeze.
  • Vineyard: Counter-espalier training and Guyot pruning; Yield per hectare: 75 q/h
  • Harvest:  Harvest carried out during the nights of the first ten days of September.
  • Winemaking: The grapes are destemmed and left to macerate with subsequent fermentation in steel vats for a duration of 7 to 10 days at a temperature of 24 degrees.
  • Refinement: After a very soft pressing, the wine ages for 5 months in barriques and 3 months in steel. Refinement in bottle: at least 2 months.
  • Tasting notes: Bright ruby ​​red in color of medium intensity, Nedda offers aromas of red fruits such as black cherry, blackberry and dried plum with flavors of vanilla and cloves. On the palate it has a marked acidity, elegant tannins and a medium body. Notes of ripe cherry and blueberry are perceived with hints of hazelnut and cedar.
  • Pairings:  It pairs well with spicy game recipes and grilled or griddled red meats. Try it with grilled shellfish and baked stuffed vegetables.
  • How to serve it:  It expresses its best qualities in medium-sized tulip glasses served at a temperature of 15-16°C.
